Coming Home

I’ve spent over 25 years on the mat, and if I’ve learned anything, it’s that yoga isn’t just something you 'do'—it’s something that shapes how you live through every season of change, challenge, and joy. Having practiced for much of my adult life, I've come to understand that the practice is less about the shape of the pose and more about the quality of presence we bring to it.

I completed my first 200-hour training in 2004 and an advanced 300-hour E-RYT in 2015. While these milestones provided a structural foundation, my most profound teachings have come from the experience of living—of moving through grief, celebrating growth, and learning when to soften. I believe the true practice happens when we allow ourselves to be human on the mat.

As the founder and lead teacher of Living Practice Yoga School, I focus on presence, permission, and the personal thread that connects each student to their practice. What began as a pursuit of physical prowess has evolved into a movement toward awareness. I've traded precision for permission, and performance for a deeper, more honest connection to myself.

Today, I hold space for students to ask the essential questions: Why are we here? What would it feel like to let go? I aim to honor the sacred roots of yoga while keeping it grounded in the reality of our modern lives. For me, yoga is no longer about chasing the perfect shape—it’s about finally coming home.

I spent many years thinking yoga was about the perfect shape and the right alignment. But life happened—seasons of change, grief, and immense joy—and the practice fundamentally shifted for me. I stopped chasing precision and started cultivating permission. Today, my teaching is a reflection of that inward expansion. It is a gentle invitation to stop performing and start listening. We move to remember who we are, asking the quiet questions that help us stay present in a noisy world, finding our way back home.
